Arts therapy
INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS include:
50 minute Arts Therapy Session with a qualified Creative Arts Therapist
In person at the Treehouse on the Gold Coast
All art materials included
Can be a one-off or part of an ongoing series
Initial session will involve an assessment of your therapeutic needs and a discussion about creative processes that may be best suited for you.
HOW I SUPPORT YOU AS A THERAPIST:
I use science backed techniques to help soothe your nervous system
I recommend certain materials to use so that you are able to fully express yourself
I also trust you to choose a material that feels right for you
I help you approach difficult stories in safe ways
I use a strengths based approach, helping shine a light on where you are already winning
As An Arts therapist,
I Don’t:
Tell you what I think your art means
Judge you on what your creativity should or shouldn’t look like (there is no right way)
Teach you art making skills beyond the basics that you need for self expression
Activities may include:
clay sculpting writing movement role play paper craft
painting nature art drawing sensory play mask making
ritual creation music poetry photography deconstructing
